LEGO Postcards sets: The perfect souvenir ideas while travelling this summer!
LEGO Postcards sets are the perfect summer holiday souvenir to remind you of the landmarks of your favourite city.
If you're bored with fridge magnets and souvenir spoons, the ever-growing line-up of LEGO Postcards sets is a fantastic way to celebrate a memorable trip in 2026.
With eight LEGO Postcards sets released so far, let's take a look at these perfect souvenir ideas for your summer holiday, and some alternative LEGO travel display sets to show off where you've been.

What are LEGO Postcards sets?
LEGO Postcards sets feature the major landmarks of a city or country, with a particular focus on the main tourist attractions you might visit while on holiday there.
Although there is no official LEGO Postcards theme in the LEGO Shop, there are already eight designs to choose from.
These include:
- LEGO New York Postcard (40519)
- LEGO London Postcard (40569)
- LEGO Japan Postcard (40713)
- LEGO Italy Postcard (40818)
- LEGO Germany Postcard (40954)
Of the eight LEGO Postcards sets already released, three have been retired:
You don't have to be a tourist to love these sets. LEGO London Postcard (40569) makes an excellent wall or bookshelf LEGO display if you live in or near the city, with a brick-built collage that features Big Ben, the London Eye, Piccadilly Circus and a red double decker bus.
Are LEGO Postcards good for kids?
LEGO Postcards sets are GREAT for kids! They usually have about 250 pieces and are recommended for ages 9+ (except for the retired LEGO Australia Postcard (40651), which was suitable for ages 7+).
That means they're a fun build for younger LEGO enthusiasts. They're also friendly on shelf space, with the main 'postcard' measuring in at about 3.5 x 5.5 inches, plus any landmarks that stick up above the rectangular background.
How much do LEGO Postcards sets cost?
At less than £15 each, LEGO Postcards sets are a bargain. They make a fantastic keepsake to remember an enjoyable summer holiday, or as a gift for a loved one with a passion for travel.
The landmarks and young age limit on these sets make them great for educating children, too, and builders of all ages might find tourist attractions and other details that they didn't already know about.

A really nice feature on LEGO Postcards sets is the name plate on the front of the finished build, so you can't forget which scene is which.
On non-English sets (i.e. everything except the LEGO London Postcard), you can choose to display the name plate either in English or in the destination's own local language.
Alternatives to LEGO Postcards
We think Postcards are some of the best LEGO pocket money sets, and the target age range means they make excellent birthday and Christmas gifts too.
LEGO Germany Postcard (40954) is the newest addition to the line-up - it was only released on April 1st 2026 - yet it's also the cheapest at £12.99 instead of the usual £13.49.
But if you're looking for a city or country that isn't featured in the current LEGO Postcards sets, or else you just want more options to choose from, then the LEGO Architecture theme is your next port of call.

LEGO Architecture Trevi Fountain (21062)
Priced at £139.99 and with 1,880 pieces, LEGO Architecture Trevi Fountain (21062) is a much bigger build than the LEGO Postcards sets, measuring about 10" x 15" x 7" (H x W x D).
Like most LEGO Architecture display sets, it's recommended for adult builders (age 18+) but would be a fascinating project for younger architecture enthusiasts.
Our made-to-measure LEGO display case for Trevi Fountain 21062 is the perfect way to showcase your finished build, with an optional printed vinyl background of a sunny sky with white fluffy clouds.

LEGO Architecture Paris - City of Love (21064)
We love love love this romantic build, which is the perfect substitute for the discontinued LEGO Paris Postcard.
LEGO Architecture Paris - City of Love (21064) comes in at a middling £69.99 and 958 pieces. At 11.5" x 10.5" x 2" (H x W x D) it's about twice the size of a LEGO Postcards set and would look great as the centrepiece of a LEGO Postcards display, or as a LEGO bookshelf display in its own right.
Protect your LEGO Paris set with our custom display case for LEGO City of Love 21064.

LEGO Architecture Notre-Dame de Paris (21061)
Finally, if you're looking for more France-themed LEGO sets, LEGO Architecture Notre-Dame de Paris (21061) is a real showstopper.
Priced at £199.99 with a massive 4,383 pieces, LEGO Architecture 21061 is a brick-built Notre-Dame Cathedral measuring 13" x 8.5" x 16" (H x W x D) and is the right shape to sit at the centre of any LEGO tabletop display.
Our Notre-Dame de Paris display case for LEGO 21061 gives you 360-degree views of your finished cathedral, with our uniquely designed screw fittings carefully placed so as not to distract from the main event.
