Formula 1 Exhibition In London Gets The Green Light From Us

We know you guys and gals love Formula 1, so we thought we would let you know about this little event that’s happening at the Excel in London. It’s The Formula 1 Exhibition, a fully immersive and interactive experience that takes you on a journey through the world of F1.

The exhibition is open at the Silverstone Museum from August 23rd 2024, and tickets went on sale June 29th. Ticket prices are £14 per child (age 5-16) and £25 per adult (age 17+). The exhibition will be open daily from 9am. You can watch this Formula 1 YouTube video showing snippets of previous exhibitions.

The Formula 1 Exhibition is divided up into six principle rooms:

  • Once Upon A Time In Formula 1
  • Design Lab
  • Drivers and Duels
  • Revolution By Design
  • Survival
  • The Pit Wall

Once Upon A Time In Formula 1 is a fantastic gallery experience, specifically built to enable visitors to take a trip through some of the sport’s most defining moments. It features rare artefacts, iconic cars, and interviews with well-known F1 personalities. As an exclusive just for London, this room will bring to life the legend of the British Grand Prix in partnership with the Silverstone Museum.

The Design Lab is a factory-themed room that lets us gain insight into how Formula 1 teams scrupulously design and develop the various components for each season’s new car. Williams Racing, Pirelli, and many others contributed to the range of parts on display.

Drivers and Duels is a super cool room. It features almost 100 helmets on display, multiple interactive games, an unprecedented collection of historical memorabilia, and a Hall of Fame.

Revolution By Design displays an impressive array of the sport’s most legendary and significant cars. It showcases the sport's amazing breakthrough innovations and examines new technologies for the future. This part of the exhibition contains contributions from McLaren, AMG Petronas F1-Team, Team Lotus, and many more.

Survival is dedicated to those who have sacrificed throughout history to improve the safety of the sport further. The remains of Romain Grosjean’s car from his crash in Bahrain in 2020 are on display. This serious accident led to many worldwide discussions about driver and track safety.

The Pit Wall is the final room. The exhibition culminates here, where a 6-minute festival of lights and sound fully immerses you in celebrating 74 years of Formula 1.

You should allow a minimum of 90 minutes to enjoy this exhibition, but there is no time limit; you can stay as long as you like.
