Star Wars May the Fourth Discounts & Deals - Including A Free LEGO Event!
SITH SAVINGS AND FEDERATION FREEBIES
We know Star Wars fans like to dig for a bargain more than Jawas at a crash site so we have done the digging for you. This year you can enjoy promotions, deals and giveaways at Smyths, LEGO and Amazon to name a few. Check out our list below to see what treasures we have uncovered for you*.
LEGO STORE Freebies
The LEGO Stores are holding in-store "Make It and Take It" events over Star Wars Weekend, whereby you can build a cute LEGO Princess Leia and Darth Vader and take it home with you! The events are occurring at specific times; Saturday 4th May between 10am-12pm and Sunday 5th May between 12pm-2pm and it's recommended to arrive early as it's while stocks last. LEGO has said that this activity is for children aged 6 and up
As well as this special event, LEGO is offering several GWPs (Gift with Purchase) with Star Wars spends:

LEGO Stores are also being issued with 100 alternate LEGO bags each but with LEGO written in Aurebesh. These are the large bags so unfortunately just buying a LEGO Minifigure won’t bag you one.
Smyths & Hamleys - In-Store Star Wars Events
Smyths is also participating in a LEGO Star Wars giveaway across all stores. The LEGO 30685 Tie Interceptor could be yours if you pop into Smyths on the 4th of May. There is apparently a Make-It-and-Take-It event in Smyths too, but currently, there is no mention as to what the build(s) are. This will also be a while stocks last situation.
Hamleys in Regent Street, London are also putting on a Make-It-and-Take-It event, but with builds of Yoda and a mini X-Wing.
Comic Book Day - In-Store Freebies
This Saturday, May Fourth is also Comic Book Day (traditionally the first Saturday in May) which means that you can get free comic books from participating stores. There are over 40 different free comic books available this year; two of which are Star Wars related. We have the Young Jedi Adventures: Plants vs Zombies and Star Wars #1 (featuring a neat cover of half Luke’s head, half Vader’s head).
Argos - Star Wars Keyring
The last Star Wars freebie that we managed to track down is from Argos. If you purchase an eligible LEGO set you will receive an R2-D2 keying (worth £5). Argos are currently offering 20-25% off selected LEGO Star Wars sets, and Amazon is following suit by also offering discounts on various LEGO Star Wars sets.
Menkind - Up To 25% Off Selected Star Wars Items
Menkind sells an assortment of fantastic items, novelties, collectables and Funko Pops, and until May Sith (6th) they will be offering up to 25% off selected Star Wars items.
Disney Store - Discounted Star Wars Products
The official Disney Store will have 20% off certain LEGO Star Wars sets and reductions on specific lightsabers. Disney Stores and Disney Parks will sell the new Darth Maul replica lightsaber, which has sound effects and glows red when attached to two blades.
iDisplayit - Discounted LEGO Star Wars Displays
iDisplayit manufactures 1000s of acrylic display products for LEGO sets and from May 4th-6th will be offering big discounts on Star Wars display cases and stands. Keep an eye on their website nearer the time, or sign up for their email newsletter to be the first to know.
