Stick Your LEGO Helmets On!

FOUR LEGO HELMETS MODELS SET FOR MARCH AND APRIL 2023 RELEASE

LEGO Helmets

Did you know that there are four new LEGO Helmets from Star Wars and Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy coming out over the next few months? These new additions are certain to keep your LEGO bust collection neatly up to date when added to the rest of your collection.

The LEGO Helmets Collection is a relatively new theme, first hitting shelves in 2020. Starting with Star Wars replicas, the range has now expanded to include other franchises, such as Marvel. The models are purpose-built for adults, with LEGO signalling the models are intended for exhibiting rather than play. This makes them perfect for LEGO collectors to source and show off inside customised display cases. The small size of the sets also makes them ideal for placing on desks and shelves as an unobtrusive addition to home décor, without being so small that they sacrifice details achieved through the clever brickwork.

Helmets, masks and crowns say a lot about the fictional characters who wear them, especially in the Star Wars universe, where the likes of a rebel pilot’s helmet and Darth Vader’s life-support mask have become iconic symbols of the struggle between darkness and light.

Join us as we look at the new LEGO Helmets and some of our favourite other sets over the years…

Star-Lord Peter Quill LEGO Helmet

Star-Lord’s Helmet – 76251

£69.99

Let’s kick off with this instantly recognisable headgear, as worn by Peter Quill (aka Star-Lord) in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Quill uses this expanding partial helmet to survive the vacuum of space, as well as provide breathability in alien atmospheres and alert him to threats. The LEGO brick likeness nicely replicates the mouth apparatus and the unnerving, robot-red eyes. As a quirky bonus, the set can also be used to store stationary such as pens, pencils and scissors, making it perfect for decorating your desk!

You’ll have to wait until 1st April to grab this set, though nothing is stopping you from pre-ordering it on the LEGO website.

Princess Leia Boushh Helmet

Princess Leia (Boushh) Helmet – 75351

£59.99

Who could forget Leia’s bounty hunter disguise and creepily altered voice she used to get close to Han Solo’s frozen carbonite form in Jabba’s Palace at the start of Return of the Jedi?

This build-and-display LEGO model faithfully replicates the unique bounty hunter helmet, designed to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the original trilogy’s third film. It includes customised Ubese armour, brown survival material, a thin eyepiece and a mouth filter.

The new set will be available from 1st March and can be pre-ordered online.

Captain Rex & Commander Cody Helmets

Captain Rex Helmet – 75349

Clone Commander Cody Helmet – 75350

£59.99 (sold separately)

These two trusted troopers of the clone army have popped up plenty of times in the Star Wars saga, primarily in the animated Clone Wars series and Star Wars Rebels, but also in various games and comic books.

Fans know Commander Cody as the fateful trooper who received Palpatine’s Order 66 command to open fire on Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi during the events of Revenge of the Sith. The blue-styled Captain Rex was the leader of the 501st Legion, a legendary team of troopers during the conflict.

Both models reflect the helmet’s iconic design (which would go on to form the headgear of the Imperial Storm Troopers) with radio antennae and ID colour additions.

Both sets are available for pre-order on the LEGO website.

The Best LEGO Helmet Sets

If we had to pick out our top five sets, we would choose the following –

Darth Vader Helmet 75304 – This should be the first LEGO Helmet set in any Star Wars fan’s collection.

Iron Man Helmet 76165 – The shape of Tony Stark’s epic custom battle helmet is perfectly recreated in LEGO brick form.

Boba Fett Helmet 75277 – We love the Mandalorian, but there’s no beating the original green and red bounty hunter helmet donned by Boba Fett.

Batman Cowl 76182 – There’s nothing more iconic in the DC universe than the bat-like design of the Caped Crusader’s mask.

Dark Trooper Helmet 75343 – Fans of The Mandalorian Season 2 will share our passion for this newly-realised version of a classic Storm Trooper hybrid, with its distinctly unsettling visage.

How To Display Your LEGO Helmet Collection

As you can see, we’ve built quite a collection of these quirky LEGO heads over the years!

Due to the tendency of these models to collect dust and easily fall over from knocks, we like to display them in our custom-designed clear acrylic cases.

Head on over to our iDisplayit LEGO Helmets store to find your perfect presentation box today, with options for individual sets or 3 – 5 helmets exhibited in a row within the same display box. All our cases can be easily stacked, offering a versatile solution to match your shelving, desktop or counter space.
